Ways to Support Scouting Who Pays for Scouting
Gifts-In-Kind donations benefit the Council by replacing cash payments for required expenditures. Gifts in kind can be anything from a car to tires to an oil change. However, only gifts that are of value or use to the council are accepted.

Examples of gifts in kind are:

For the Service Center:
• Office Supplies- copy paper, computer paper, note pads, etc

For Camp Hiawatha:
• Program supplies such as row boats, kayaks, ecology, handicraft or scout craft program supplies
• Lumber for tent platforms
• Food for camp programs
• Building and Vehicle maintenance supplies
• Janitorial supplies

Staff Support:
• The field staff drives 30,000 to 35,000 miles a years. Currently, both vehicles have over 150,000 miles on them. Gifts in kind of gas, oil changes, tires, or a new (used) car would be helpful.

Underwrite a Special Project
• There are many projects at camp or at the service center that community groups, troop or packs can help with by donating funds, supplies, or time to finishing a project.

If you are interested making a gift in kind, contact Scout Executive, Dewey Jones.
