2008 Council Philmont Trek

Depart early on June 21 and return very late July 5.

The crew will travel to New Mexico by Amtrak [Tentative].

Any Boy Scout or Venturer who will complete the eighth grade before participating, or will be at least 14 years of age by January 1, 2008; meets physical requirements; and is recommended by his/her Scoutmaster or Advisor. Participation by female Venture members is dependant on female advisors attending.

The Council trek will consist of 2 crews of 12 members each.

The cost is budgeted at $1200.00.

$250.00 deposit with application
$300.00 due November 15, 2007
$350.00 due February 1, 2008
$300.00 due April 1, 2008

The trek fee includes all transportation, meals, patrol and troop equipment, insurance and the training weekend before the trek. Additional expenses will be your personal equipment, uniforms and spending money.

If you sign up for the trek and then find that you cannot attend, you will receive a full refund from the Hiawathaland Council only if there is an alternate to take your place. If there is not an alternate, a partial refund will be made. This includes fees you have paid to date, less any expenses related to contractual agreements made on your behalf.
