Steps To Renew A Charter Online 1. Each unit needs to select an adult who will be the Renewal Processor, usually 60 days before your unit's expiration date. 2. The Renewal Processor attends the appropriate roundtables to receive training and the Unit Access Code. This will be included in your Recharter Packet and/or from your District or Unit Commissioner. 3. Unit Renewal Processor will collect all the current contact and parent information on your unit, sponsor, and members. 4. 45 - 60 days before the unit's expiration date, the renewal processor clicks "Recharter Now" button below and begins the process. 5. Select First Time user and enter the unit access code. 6. Select the unit type and enter the unit number. 7. Create a password as instructed. 8. Complete the information requested on each screen. You can stop at any time, log off the system, and begin again where you left off by reentering your access code and password. 9. When the online process is completed, click the Submit button. 10. Print the completed Charter Renewal Report Package, which includes the charter renewal application and listings of new members, transfers, multiples and no-fee adults. Please make an additional copy for your records. (The process will also send a confirmation electronically to the council.) 11. The unit leader and the chartered organization representative signs the charter renewal application. 12. Bring the application along with the material you received in your Recharter Packet (such as the Quality Unit application), and all appropriate fees to your district's charter turn-in meeting. These dates will be announced at roundtables. |
