Winter Conference 2009
Ag-Im's Winter Conference is this weekend, Dec. 4-6. It will be held at the Rapid River school. Please let everyone know about the location. It is located on U.S. 2 a few miles east of Rapid River. Turn at the rocket. When you get to the Y in the road, turn right to the elementary parking lot. The cost $15.
There is a girls basketball game Friday night. We won't be moving into the gym until after the game. There is a cost for the game if you want to watch it.
There is a Christmas parade in Escanaba Friday night. Scouts from Troop 411 are serving as color guard for the parade. If you would like to be in the color guard, we will be forming at the civic center in Escanaba at 6:30 p.m. Head to the water tower. The parade starts at 7 p.m. Please know that Rapid River is over 15 miles from Escanaba.
Saturday afternoon will have competitions between the Chapters. There is also a Christmas program at the Steam & Gas Engine Village at the U.P. State Fairgrounds Saturday. There is no cost. They do ask for a food donation if you would like to attend.
The banquet Saturday night includes Distinguished Service Awards, Founders Awards and Vigil nominations. Please attend.
